Doggy Mom

As a kid, I always wanted to have a dog to grow up with, but my parents did not believe I was responsible enough to have a dog and also the fact that they did not want to be responsible..

It was not until my 7th grade year, I was 13 years old and I finally was able to get a dog. At this time I actually got two dogs a chihuahua and a chow chow named Lamar and Tiny.

I had Tiny for about 3 years until we gave her away to a family friend who's family were looking for a dog. Lamar was basically my doggy child, until he died of heat exhaustion during a walk with my brother.

I was devastated when Lamar died and everything did not feel the same at all in my house without him. After a few weeks, I have decided with my moms permission to  let me adopt a puppy that I then named Cali Breeze. She is a golden retriever mix and is my absolute heart and soul through high school until now.

But in 2018, I moved out and moved in with my boyfriend Cody and Cali is staying with my retired mom to keep her company and be her support dog.

Even though I know that I could always see Cali at my mom's house, I felt odd not having a dog in the house. Cody was hesitant at first about getting a dog but in July of 2018, we adopted Champ , who he ultimately fell in love with when he first saw him.

I am now a Fur mommy of 2 dogs,

Cali Breeze and Champ Bailey that I love with all my heart and soul.

Here are some facts about Champ and Cali:

  • Champ is an American Bully , but shows more of a bull dog breed in him.

  • Cali is a Golden Retriever Mix, but has husky and Australian shepherd in her.

  • Champ's name was based off of Champ Bailey from the Denver Bronco's hall of famer.

  • Cali is right now 6 years old and her birthday is March 11.

  • Champ snores like a human that you can hear all the way from downstairs.

  • Cali absolutely loves hot dogs and doggy birthday treats !
